EIOPA’s key priorities for the year ahead with Petra Hielkema, chair of EIOPA

We are delighted to welcome Petra Hielkema, chair of EIOPA, the European insurance and pensions supervisor as our guest speaker to discuss some EIOPA’s key priorities for the year ahead, including:

• The development of pensions and long-term capital in the EU
• Closing the protection gap
• Sustainability and climate change
• Liquidity and lessons to be learned from the recent gilts crisis
• Post-Brexit supervisory cooperation

We expect participants to be a combination of senior executives, CROs, COOs and policy specialists with a focus on insurance, pensions, and asset management, as well as some government officials and policymakers.

About Petra Hielkema:
Petra has been chair of EIOPA since September last year, having previously worked at the Dutch central bank for 15 years, most recently as head of prudential supervision of the Dutch insurance industry. She holds a European Master’s in law and economics and a Master’s in Russian studies.
