Getting pay right – private dinner and discussion

In financial markets, pay is about more than just the numbers: pay is an important barometer of how the industry sees itself in relations to customers, shareholders and society.

This discussion – for senior executives and specialists in finance and HR from across the industry – will focus on some of the main findings from our report on pay in the asset management and investment banking industry ‘Feeling the squeeze’.

One of the main themes that has emerged from our work over the past year is how the industry could make a clearer and more compelling case for how it calculates, awards and discloses pay. Many policymakers believe that while the industry has made significant progress on cultural and behavioural change, incentive structures could be significantly improved to accelerate that process.

The discussion will also help frame an initiative on pay disclosure that we are developing to help the industry address this sensitive issue.
