In discussion with Petra Hielkema, chair of EIOPA

Petra has been chair of EIOPA since September 2021 and this year chairs the Joint Committee, the forum that coordinates the cooperation between the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Banking Authority (EBA), and EIOPA.

We will discuss with Petra EIOPA’s perspective on some of the key themes in European capital markets, including building bigger pools of long-term capital across pensions, retail, and insurance to help support more investment, more competitive capital markets, and a more competitive EU economy.

We expect participants to be a combination of senior executives, CROs, COOs, and policy specialists with a focus on European insurance, pensions, and asset management, as well as some government officials and policymakers.
