The future of CMU with Declan Kelly, Eurogroup

Declan has been at the heart of the Eurogroup’s extensive work on CMU over the past year as the diplomatic adviser to Paschal Donohoe, president of the Eurogroup of EU finance ministers. He has a unique perspective on the political and policy challenges of trying to build bigger, better, and more integrated capital markets in Europe.

The focus of this event will be to triangulate the huge amount of work underway on shaping the future of EU capital markets and capital markets union and try to plot a way forward. Last month the Eurogroup published its own report on CMU, and in the past few weeks alone we have had the Letta report, a difficult European summit, and the Noyer report on CMU.

We expect the participants will be a combination of policy specialists and policymakers with a focus on EU capital markets.
