Enhancing the link between DEI and pay – Q&A with the Bank of England

Linking diversity, equity and inclusion to pay positions DEI like any other strategic objective, with a clear link to business scorecards and an expectation that senior leaders will deliver. Data from the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter Annual shows that every year, signatories are getting more granular and building confidence in implementing the link to pay. And every year, more signatories are finding the link to pay is increasingly effective. Getting the link to pay right can be transformational.

At this event, we will hear from:
• Paul Wright, Head of Inclusion, about how the Bank of England’s approach to bringing DEI into pay has changed over time, and the impact the link to pay has had on improving the Bank’s DEI outcomes;
• Charlotte Gerken, Executive Director for Insurance Supervision, and co-Executive Sponsor for the Bank of England’s Women in the Bank network, who will share firsthand experience of the Bank’s increased granularity of accountability.

The session will include Q&A with attendees. We expect attendees to include financial services professionals from across HR, DEI, pay/reward/remuneration, remco members, and those responsible/ accountable/ with a keen interest in DEI from business-facing roles.
