Launch: Diversity toolkit for investors

The launch of our Diversity Toolkit for Investors, a succinct and practical toolkit of questions on diversity topics to improve engagement between asset managers and the companies in which they invest. The Toolkit project is a collaboration with the 30% Club Investor Group and sponsored by Columbia Threadneedle Investments, London Stock Exchange Group and S&P Global.

This event will mark the final instalment in our Toolkit series, which will provide a set of recommended quantitative and qualitative data points for investors to ask of their investee companies, to improve engagement and drive the desired outcome of greater diversity and inclusion.

We will hear a keynote address from:
• Sacha Sadan, Director of Environment Social and Governance at the Financial Conduct Authority

And Yasmine Chinwala, Partner at New Financial will chair a panel discussion with:
• Elena Philipova, Director, ESG Proposition, London Stock Exchange Group
• With more speakers to be announced

While the Toolkit is aimed at investors, the discussion is relevant to all stakeholders interested in next steps around diversity reporting. We aim for the Toolkit to provide a starting point for investors to think about diversity; build a common language so that more investors ask the same questions of investee companies; and create a longer-term debate about improving the engagement between investors and investee companies. We will also take questions and comments from attendees and anticipate a lively debate.
